Abstract

SEM/EDS Analysis on Calcium Phosphate Deposition in Brackets Composite Interface, How to Prevent Enamel Injury?

by Butera Andrea

In the sphere of modern dentistry, the role of the dental hygienist is becoming more and more prominent especially with the help of the most modern proposals in technology and merchandise. The optics of prevention, therefore, has a way to be realized through the most refined techniques characterized by mini-invasiveness and high effectiveness. Orthodontic Therapy guides the resolution of the most complex cases by rehabilitating patients' smiles according to aesthetic and morphological standards. Sometimes unfortunately in the balance between risk and benefit to pay the consequences are the hard tissues of the tooth and periodontal tissues, long-term guarantors of successful treatment. Therefore in the management in the orthodontic patient it is important to put the focus on the variation of the oral microbiota, the reduction of the incidence of hard tissue injuries, in the pre during and post orthodontic treatment phases either with multibrackets therapy or by invisible aligners. Therefore, the focus of the report will be to highlight, based on scientific evidence, all prophylaxis systems to reduce the incidence of bracktes detachment and bring proper adhesion on the enamel surface. Evaluate by means of a translational analysis how remineralization systems act in the phase during and post orthodontic treatment to provide participants with the appropriate protocols to reduce the incidences of lesions.

Learning Objectives

After this lecture, you will be able to properly managing the oral microbiota of the orthodontic patient
After this lecture, you will be able to use the correct anti-mite prophylaxis systems
After this lecture, you will be able to use remineralization systems in the correct way.
