Abstract
TADs – Indications for Optimizing Efficiency & Outcome
by Contardo Luca and Di Leonardo Bruno
After the introduction of new technologies, it is very common to observe an explosion in their use regardless of the scientific evidence related to it. Skeletal anchorages in orthodontics have also seen a surprising diffusion in the last two decades; in fact, their use has been massive for the correction of different malocclusions and with multiple protocols and devices. This lecture aims to provide useful information for the rational use of skeletal anchorages with simple clinical protocols and indications and, above all, reproducible for expert and un-expert clinicians. Clinical cases where the insertion of TADs devices can substantially change the results of therapy will be brought to the attention of colleagues with the utmost transparency, thus providing clinicians with new weapons or secrets in the management of malocclusions for achieving an excellent result. Likewise, emphasis will be given to related scientific evidence and the ethically supported approach of orthodontic care
